Reliable Apricot Orange skin, firm flesh, not very juicy and slightly stringy. Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. Regular cropper. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight.

Ribston Pippin Apple The fruit is medium sized and roundish, with an orange/red blush and a stripe over a yellow background. The flesh is cream coloured, crisp, sweet, aromatic - "one of the richest flavoured apples". Fruit keeps reasonably well, and some people think the flavour is at its best when the fruit has been off the tree for a few weeks.. Trees are quite upright, with a spreading habit, and moderate vigour. Spur-bearing. Very resistant to black spot (apple scab)

Rival Apricot Medium to large, oval fruit, bright orange with very red blush. Flesh is deep orange, firm and sweet. Freestone. Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. A very versatile, reliable apricot, highly recommended for the home garden. Reliable cropper. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight, but Rival are not particularly susceptible to disease.
Rob's Yellow Peach Peach Large, freestone yellow peach. Skin is red all over with a yellow background colour, flesh is yellow, melting, sweet with reasonably good flavour. All peaches and nectarines are vulnerable to Brown rot in wet conditions.
Robe de Sergeant Prune Plum Robe de Sergeant is a very sweet and juicy prune plum. Fruit is medium-sized, roundish oval with deep purple to blackish colour and a thick grey bloom. The flesh is freestone, greenish-yellow. The tree's habit is naturally upright, small, and productive with willowing branches.

Rome Beauty Apple Fruit is medium-large, flushed red, and striped. Flavour is subacid, flesh tends to be soft. Tip bearing (some sources say spur bearing so may be both). Will grow in USDA zones 4 to 8. Tree is moderately vigorous, spreading and has a willowy habit. Moderately susceptible to black spot (apple scab), powdery mildew, and cedar apple rust
Ron's Seedling Cherry Medium to large, short stems, dark red cherry, good flavour. Very fast to pick due to short stems. Excellent, reliable cherry.

Rouge de Rivesaltes Apricot Large, roundish and flat. Light orange with slightly mottled skin, firm flesh, sweet. Freestone with a large cavity around the stone. Shows some resistance to frost. Productive, a sudden drop in temp pre-harvest can cause fruit to drop. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight.
Roundway Magnum Bonnum Apple Fruit is large, flushed and striped, crisp, with a sweet flavour that is aromatic and pear-like. The trees are spreading.
Royal Gem Peach Medium to large, dark red skn, yellow flesh with some red marbling. Very firm and juicy, semi-clingstone. In some climate conditions the fruit can develop a slight tip.
