Moonglow Pear Pyrus communis (European pear)
Moorpark (Temple's Moorpark) Apricot Medium to large, roundish fruit with orange, juicy flesh. Excellent, sweet apricot flavour (one of the best) , freestone. Tends to ripen from the inside. An old favourite with a distinctive flavour. Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. Fruit tends to ripen unevenly. Can be a shy cropper. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight, and Moorpark can be susceptible to Freckle.
Morello Cherry Sour cherries. The fruit is small to medium, red to dark red, and quite tart. Not to be confused with rootstock cherries, which are tiny and dark black. Rootstock cherries are super-sour and not good for eating or preserving. Very heavy cropper. Quite resistant to rain-cracking
Morocco Apricot Medium size, pale orange with a red blush, pale flesh that can be a bit rubbery and dry. Good flavour, semi-freestone. Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight.
Moss Early Cherry Dark red, medium cherry, firm, good flavour. Heavy, even cropper. Very prone to bacterial canker.
Mutsu, Crispin Apple A large, green skinned dessert apple. A slight blush can develop on the skin. Flesh is greenish-cream, crisp, juicy and sweet with excellent flavour. Cooks pale yellow with pieces staying whole. Frost tender. Stores well. Can crop very heavily so needs good thinning. Tree is vigorous, spur-bearing. USDA Zones 4-8. Can suffer from bitter pit, so needs nutritious soil with plenty of calcium.
Mystery Apricot Medium to large, roundish, orange skin with paler flesh. Excellent flavour, freestone. Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight. Fairly resistant to rain cracking.
Narrabeen Plum Japanese, large, round, dark pink over yellow background colour. Creamy flesh, average flavour, freestone. Very productive Moderately resistant to bacterial spot.
New Boy Nectarine White flesh nectarine. A heritage variety with quite thin skin that is creamy white with a red blush. Fragrant white flesh, good flavour if ripened on the tree. Heritage variety with excellent flavour, but the fruit is quite fragile and prone to bruising and damage both on the tree and off. Like an earlier version of Goldmine nectarine. All peaches and nectarines are prone to Brown rot in the wet conditions.
