Medium to large, roundish fruit with orange, juicy flesh. Excellent, sweet apricot flavour (one of the best) , freestone. Tends to ripen from the inside. An old favourite with a distinctive flavour.
Common Uses
Highly prized as a jam apricot for its sweetness, texture and colour. Not the best for bottling because tends to lose its shape when cooked. Also not the best for drying because of the soft texture.

Production Notes
Apricots need frost protection, particularly at blossom time. Fruit tends to ripen unevenly. Can be a shy cropper.
Disease Susceptibility
Apricots are generally susceptible to blossom blight, and Moorpark can be susceptible to Freckle.
