Medium-large, yellow, flushed and russeted. Flesh is crisp and the apples keep well.

Dual purpose eating and cooking. Cooks fluffily golden yellow.

Netherlands, 1856.
Pollination
Triploid, which means it cannot act as a pollen donor, and therefore needs to be planted with two other apples which can pollinate each other as well as well as pollinating the Belle de Boskoop. Should be planted with other early flowering varieties such as Abas, Beauty of Bath, Irish Peach, Lord Lambourne, McIntosh, Red Braeburn, Tydeman's Early Winesap, Vista Bella, Yarlington Mill, Geeveston Fanny, Lord Nelson, Lord Suffield, Tropical Beauty.
