The most common diseases that may affect your fruit trees include gummosis, leaf curl, shot hole, and a range of other fungal, bacterial and viral conditions. They can make your tree look terrible, and cause a lot of stress and worry, but how serious are they really?

The truth is that some diseases can kill your tree, and others can cause poor performance or stunt the growth of the tree, and those diseases need proper diagnosis, close attention and prevention. But many other diseases may be tolerable and need little or no action.

After completing this short course you’ll be able to recognise common diseases of fruit trees and the symptoms they cause. You’ll understand when to take action and you’ll know what to do; you’ll also be relieved to know when you can just relax and let nature take its course.
