A medium-sized red skinned apple that has unique, bright red flesh. Tastes quite tart and sweet, similar in flavour to Granny Smith.
Common Uses
Eating, goes very well with cheese, excellent for fruit platters as the flesh doesn't go brown when cut. Also good for cooking, excellent in pies and for juice, and dries well. Excellent source of anthocyanins, so a particularly healthy apple!
Origin
A patented apple that has been bred by Markus Kobelt in Switzerland. The variety was bred using natural methods, not genetically modified. There are different sub-varieties, in Australia the most common types currently available are Redlove Luresweet and

Production Notes
The new growth in spring has dark reddish leaves which gradually turn green as the leaves mature.
Disease Susceptibility
Naturally resistant to black spot and powdery mildew. Handles frost quite well.
