Japanese, medium, heart-shaped blood plum. Dark purple over a greenish background colour, pale red flesh becomes very dark. Very sweet, even when underripe. Clear juice, semi-freestone. Very sweet, skin is bitter until quite ripe. Will ripen off the tree quite well.

Production Notes
Bruises easily, needs careful handling, ripens well off the tree if picked slightly green. Very regular and productive cropper. Great variety for home garden but can drop before they are ripe in a high wind. Can pick this variety over several weeks.
