This week is all about the transition from the busy-ness of spring to the rhythm of summer. It’s a bit of a switch in focus to start thinking about picking, eating and storing the delicious fruit from your trees, but what a pleasure!

In some climate zones early summer will still include fruit thinning, plus there’s a whole new raft of things to learn about – the right way to pick and store fruit, new bugs and insects that might be causing trouble, and recognising and treating nutritional deficiencies in your trees.  There’s also watering to think about, plus a checklist of jobs to look after young trees in their first growing season.

Happy harvests!
