This is a great thing to do with ageing apples that are maybe starting to go a bit greasy or spotty. So, enjoy the last of the cold nights ahead with these scrumptious little filling treats before spring brings longer and warmer evenings that will turn our thoughts to lighter desserts. They’re a little fiddly to make, but well worth it for their combination of light fluffy batter and little mouth explosions of sweet and tart apple. They also make a delicious breakfast (and go surprisingly well with either sweet or savoury toppings!)
